Adding an air tank is a great way to increase the versatility of your air compressor. An on-board air system utilizing an air tank allows you to run air tools, actuate air lockers, power air horns and use other pneumatic devices such as blow-guns. The pressurized tank will also allow you to more easily re-seat tire beads and will reduce the total inflation time for four tires by about 1-2 minutes. |

| Braided Stainless Leader Hose | ||

We recommend that you use a Leader Hose with
all of our compressors. The Stainless Braided Hose will prevent
melting of any filler hoses and/or On Board Air System plumbing
hoses. Even though compressors such as our MaxAIR 4.0 are fan cooled and run very cool, the air outlet temperature is very hot! This is the nature of compressing air...heat is created regardless of the type of compressor you use. These hoses are approximately 15" long and include 1/4" & 3/8" NPT Male fittings on the ends. These simple Check Valves will only allow air to flow through in one direction. These are a must for applications using a pressurized tank. The Check Valve will prevent the system pressure from leaking back through the compressor valves, thus depleting the tank or air system. These valves have 1/4" NPT threads (1 X Male Outlet Side, 1 X Female Inlet Side)

| Pressure Switches | ||
 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ! If your tire chuck does not let air flow through it at all times, even when it is not attached to a valve stem, you need to use a pressure switch or change to an "open" type tire chuck!!!! |
Pressure switches should be used in all
closed system applications! (Closed systems include any setup that
utilizes a tank, as well as simple "compressor only" systems
utilizing a closed tire chuck!!) Pressure Switches automatically shut off the compressor as soon as the system or hose pressure reaches the preset. The compressor will re-start automatically as soon as system pressure drops. Failure to use a proper pressure switch will lead to immediate failure of your air compressor! EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! Do not use a pressure switch with a shutoff pressure that is higher than the recommended max pressure of your compressor! Protect your investment with the correct switch!
