These Rocker Guards, designed by the Legendary Wayne Hanson, combine tough 3/16" steel, maximum bottom and side impact protection, and sleek styling. The Rockers attach easily with 5/16-18 truss head machine screws (provided) into the side of the tub and up through floor pan on the bottom.

A "Z" form is welded onto the bottom of the main panel for bolting to the floor pan. The Rockers protrude out 2" from tub, and are 5 1/2" high on sides. There’s only about ½” of vertical ground clearance lost.

The ends of all rockers are cut with a compound miter method to match the flare angle. They are capped and ground smooth. Capping prevents the ends from distorting, as this is where the rockers will take a good percentage of hits. Capping the ends is an extra step that is worth the effort to create a much stronger Rocker. The caps also keep mud and debris from entering the rocker cavity (unlike some of the competition)

For vehicles with mismatched tubs, front fenders, flares, or even odd aftermarket flares, components can be purchased for assembling to the requirement of your combination. The cost of these kits will vary according to the pieces required (approx. $140) Email of fax the combination and a tech will respond. Keep in mind that these items will only be close, so cutting the Rocker Forms to length and possibly trimming the end caps before installation will be necessary.

All Rockers are constructed from 3/16" Hot Rolled Steel & are shipped bare steel, no paint or powdercoat.

Rocker Guards for YJ Wrangler

The YJ Rockers are one piece, and the form will slip into the rear of the front flare once the caps are removed (see picture). YJ Rockers protrude out 3" from body and 5" high on the sides. Ground clearance loss here is approximately ¾”.

Super Nerfs

If you want "Real Rocker Protection" then look no further! Absolutely hands down, the nicest and most effective protection you can find for your Jeep®. They will support the full weight of your vehicle without damage and you can even use your "HiLift" jack on them without worry. They work great for keeping the body off of rocks and trees. After having them on your Jeep® you will find them great for pivoting around obstacles and you will come to rely on them frequently.

The backbone of the SuperNerf™ is the 2 x 2 x 3/16" square tube. It attaches to the pinch weld and supports the underside of the rocker panel from wheel to wheel. That allows any impacts to be distributed over a very large area eliminating damage to the rocker panels. They bolt into the pinch weld in several locations and also tie into the uni-body in two locations giving incredible strength.

The outer tube is made from 1 1/4" x .140 wall pipe (which has a 1 5/8" OD) and is situated outside the body contour so it can be used as a true "nerf" bar. You can slide both tubes over or against any kind of obstacle all day long without damage to the rocker panels. The last feature, which sets our "SuperNerfs™" apart from all the copies, is the two small supports which tie the inner and outer tubes together giving an incredible amount of side load strength.

Our "SuperNerf™" bars come powder coated in satin black. Yes, you will scratch them up when off-roading but semi-flat spray paint matches quite well. SuperNerfs™ are designed for bashing on rocks ultimately saving expensive body damage to your vehicle. They will pay for themselves the first time out!
